I spent the weekend in Central Oregon at a place called Black Butte Ranch. Here are some of the shots I took while practicing composing shots using the “rule of thirds”. It's funny but I think I must do this without thinking when taking shots but when I was composing like this on purpose I felt like I struggled more.

After awhile of shooting and staring at 'junk', I think the mind's eye tells us what looks good/feels right whether we understand why or not. That 'while' is longer for some than others, but it comes about... usually about the time one decides to break the rules for an even bigger impact. Beautiful place and shots.
