If you're there all alone - it just doesn't work if you're not - you can feel the vibes. Not something hippie like (I'm a pretty rational person), but as if these are needles put in the earth to reach the energy of it. I just know that these people didn't put up these constructions just anywhere. They felt something on a certain spot, like abbeys weren't just put anywhere or churches. As a matter of fact churches were often placed on or right next to these constructions, but that might have been a strategical thing too ...
