February 11 - Lips (#PhotoBlog365)

May I introduce you to Mary, mother of Jesus ? Found her in a small chapel in the neighbouring village Kastel. Time has left some traces on her face, but her make-up is more or less intact.

I'm almost speechless on this one, but I'm also laughing really hard! laughing What the what???
It reminds me of that fresco of Jesus that some woman found and "repaired" (i.e., ruined).

I think this was not a really good "polychrome" from the beginning. Folk art ... devotion over beauty.

But why ? Okay, it's not your average mother Mary, but creepy ? Really ? smile

Because when I think about someone I don't want to meet in the middle of the night, a butcher with a large knife is on top of the list, Jason from Friday 13 is the second, and this Mary is the third.

Many ugly people could bless me, but they don't turn beautiful if they do! smile

I think it's mainly ... not very well succeeded. Folk art, you know, devotion over beauty smile
