March 14 - Bokeh (#PhotoBlog365)

Bokeh ... I had the idea of shooting whatever in my garden and getting the bokeh as a bonus. But you need light for that and I came home after sunset.

So ... over to plan B: creating my own bokeh. Not that easy, especially if you don't want to go for a string of lights or anything of that nature. But in the end plan B worked out fine. Light in the foreground and bokeh in the background :-)

I like your bokeh Björn. If you didn't use a string of lights, what was your light source to get the circular effect? If it's not points of light or reflections, it would just be a more "solid" blur, right?

It is reflections, Lee, lots of them. Crushed and reopened aluminium foil as a background, with a spot light pointed on it smile

I stole the idea from the internet. Apparently it's one of the standard tricks used by studio photographers smile
