Eindhoven (The Netherlands) - Genneper water mill

by Björn Roose March. 18, 2019 440 views

Coming back from a comics fair and a tour along the burial mounds in the neighbourhood I wanted to make a stop at a bottleshop in Eindhoven (to buy some new beers for my "collection").

Being there I still had the time for a short visit to an old water mill on the outskirts of town, the Genneper water mill. This mill has been painted by, amongst others, Anton Pieck (see also this post) and Vincent van Gogh (I surely hope he doesn't need an introduction).

A full visit to Eindhoven is on the programme for later this year.

Thanks, Bethany. The sun did a big part of the work for the contrast smile

Does it work? Is there water? Can I move there?

No. Yes. Certainly (but it's nearly as high in the North as where I live) smile

Oh... so it probably doesn't work because the water froze ages ago... I see smile

Nah, it's broken and you know how things are fixed in the North: not. We're too damn lazy to move because we're afraid we'll start sweating. joy
