's Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands) - Saint John's cathedral and Rozemarijnstraatje

More 's Hertogenbosch statues (there were none in part 1, but plenty in part 2 and part 3 already)? Yep. The one above on Saint John's cathedral to start with.

The setting of course is the cathedral, but you may have noticed that the clothing of this angel is pretty modern and what's with the hand on the ear? Indeed, she's on the phone ... With the god of the catholics of course.

The other statue in this post is in the Rozemarijnstraatje (Rosemary alley).

Thanks, Bethany. I think the group is indeed very special. Maybe the combination between a modern way of sculpturing and a classic theme.
