Buste of Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Houdon, 1779)
So ... sadly enough my summer holiday is over. That means you'll have to deal with the fact that I'm posting more than "just" the PhotoBlog challenge photos again.
But let's take it easy for the first week or so and visit a museum: the Louvre in ... Lens. I've never visited the "main" Louvre in Paris, but the dépendance in Lens is certainly worth a visit too.
Here we go ...

Christ dying on the cross (Pierre Puget, 1660-1670)

Alexander the Great (130)

Amphitrite (1800-1900)

Baboons (Luxor, 2000 bc)

Ive only been to the Louvre in Paris- so this series has been delightful! I missed this series only to come back after you posted the 6th set. Awesome images and thanks for sharing Bjorn. Truly magnificent!
Thank the gods for the internet: with a bit of luck nice photos are available forever
