So ... sadly enough my summer holiday is over. That means you'll have to deal with the fact that I'm posting more than "just" the PhotoBlog challenge photos again.

But let's take it easy for the first week or so and visit a museum: the Louvre in ... Lens. I've never visited the "main" Louvre in Paris, but the dépendance in Lens is certainly worth a visit too.

Here we go ...

Ive only been to the Louvre in Paris- so this series has been delightful!  I missed this series only to come back after you posted the 6th set. Awesome images and thanks for sharing Bjorn. Truly magnificent!

The sculpture of baboon is so amazing! I cannot believe it was made 4,000 years ago. Isn't it AD 2000 not BC? smile

I think it's the choice of the material, marble, which makes the sculpture look as new smile

Wonderful shot! I've always been afraid to try shooting in a museum setting, but this inspires me to try. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. They always go by too fast!

I did enjoy it, but, as you said, it's gone too fast. To compensate for that I've already booker two new ones joy As for shooting in a museum: totally depends on the museum, but generally sculptures is 'easy' to shoot, even in a museum.
