Salzburg (Österreich/Austria) - Dom

by Björn Roose October. 01, 2019 275 views

A lot can be written about Salzburg, Austria. For instance that colleague PhotoBlogger Peter Berckmans spent a few days in the city a few month ago (his photos of the city are here and here). Or that I spent an evening and a day in the same city a year ago. Or that it has a long history. A very long history. But I'm not feeling like teaching this week, so let's dive into the city right away. And let's stay submerged for two weeks (there's plenty of photos). You can read all about the city on Wikipedia :-)

Let's start with the Dom. By night and by day. From far away and nearby.

You can spend more than a few days in the city to get to know it. Thanks for the mention.

#1 and #4 both stood out to me, and I love the sense of scale given by the bicycle and horses in #7.

Every blessing is (and I suppose every curse too) smile  It's deciding on how to use a gift which is the problem. Wow, that is way too deep for 5:45 in the morning ... joy

Haha! I agree, there are two sides to every coin. smile  Oddly enough, I have been reading about weird morning thoughts this week because I've been debating on trying a new writing routine. Apparently a lot of people swear by getting up and writing stream of consciousness first thing in the morning because it's a good time to engage with the subconscious.

For me it usually isn't. Morning is for very practical things. Posting on PhotoBlog, driving to work, reading emails, and so on and so on. I'm having my best ideas when tired, after a few nights of little sleep, in the evening smile

I hear that. Seeing as I am a zombie for the first hour I'm awake and perpetually late for everything already, it will definitely take some work on my part.
