October 28 - Cemetery (#PhotoBlog365)

I've visited a lot of cemeteries in my life. Not because there was somebody "waiting" there for me, but because I like them. I don't find them "creepy" (that apparently is the big theme this week), I find them quiet and, sometimes, interesting as a subject for photos.

So, since it gets dark by the time I get home, I decided to pick a cemetery photo made earlier but not published before, because I haven't posted the photos of my 2018-2019 winter holidays yet. It's a photo made on a cemetery in Godesburg (Bonn, Germany). A German military cemetery. There's a few of those in Flanders too and I've always liked the very sober nature of these cemeteries. No flowers, no marble, just grass, trees and these typical tombstones ...

I too don't like plastic flowers especially on the outside, I personally love to take long walks and go through history, from nations ministers, to the Titanic tombs that I found (5 of them) to the unborn child nurried under a tree with no name....
