The Godesburg is a castle in Bad Godesberg, a municipality that has become part of Bonn in 1969. My best friend Patrick had advised me a visit to the castle: historians claim that the peak on which the castle was built, was used to call to Wotan, god of war, death and hunt. The peak apparently was called Wotansberg before, which was of course reason enough for a pagan like me to visit it.
However, the castle was a disappointment: some idiots have turned it into a restaurant. But the Burgfriedhof, the cemetery lower on the hill was definitely worth the visit.
You saw one of the photos in this post earlier on, by the way.
