Berlin (Deutschland/Germany) - Corbusier Haus

by Björn Roose December. 19, 2019 280 views

This building, the Corbusier Haus, in the neighbourhood of the Olympiastadion, is a little off the beaten tracks, but for those interested in architecture it is worth a visit.

The architect of the Olympiastadion filed a complaint to have the building, designed by Le Corbusier, destroyed because he found it to be an architectural disgrase so close to his stadion, but the judge wasn't willing to have that done because he judged that housing was more important than aesthetics.

Very interesting building. Falls into the leading lines category of photography and there are tons of leading lines to follow.

Interesting buildings and nice compositions! The edge of blue from the sky in #1 really brings out the colors.

Thanks, Bethany. We were lucky with the weather most of the time. If you look at the 3rd photo, you see however that it could turn pretty fast. A quarter of an hour later and the blue had turned to grey ...

Indeed! I just finished working through a set from a day like that (only in reverse, from gray to sun), and it completely changes the mood.
