Lestrouguy (Bretagne/Brittany) - December 2020

And then ... our first "megalithical" stop on this December 2020 trip: Lestrouguy (Plozévet).

This menhir ("standing stone" for the people not into the subject) had been removed from where it was found originally (lying down) to serve as a monument to the dead of WWI, a plan given up on in 1920 after which it was left in a ditch, recuperated from there, and finally (at least one hopes so) re-erected ... in the garden of this farm. It was thus impossible to approach it any closer, but it was also a not so usual sight to see it standing between flowers and shrubs.
