Red Wings Stanley Cup Championship Celebration Pt 1

I went to downtown Detroit's Hart Plaza for the Red Wings Stanley Cup championship celebration. I parked in the Joe Louis Arena garage and when I exited, I discovered the players were arriving for the parade that was to take place starting at Hockeytown [hockeytowncafe.com] and moving down Woodward to end at Hart Plaza. I thought about trying to follow them along the parade route, but decided I may not get to see much because it would be jammed packed with people, so I just hung around Hart Plaza and scoped out a decent place to stand knowing it, too, would be jammed packed.

You can't see it that well, but there is a Red Wings banner on the back of this helicopter

The temperature was in the upper 80's to 90 degrees (F).
