YOU CAN BE PART OF THE SOLUTION
YOU CAN BE PART OF THIS MAGNIFICENT PLACE
Best wishes at first dear ladies and gentlemen.
The holy Braj-mandal area has been praised in many religious and devotional texts for its unparalleled selection and vibrancy of flora, fauna and river life. Today, a rapidly deteriorating environment threatens not only the sanctity of the Braj-mandal but the health of humans and animals as well. Resolving this situation requires initiative, both in terms of global networking and onthe ground restoration and preservation.Braj-mandal and Vrindavan are home to thousands of temples and ashrams, and their growth has been rapid and without adequate public infrastructure. The change from dry toilets to flushing toilets took place without proper sewage lines or wastewater treatment setup, as plastics inundated the area without recycling schemes, adequate public waste bins, management or enough official landfill space. The damage caused by these situations has become a crisis, creating real environmental emergencies. These are only two concerns on a long and still growing list of critical issues.Braj-mandal needs action to create change. Most people who want to see Braj-mandal clean and better organized have no time; they are willing but do not know how to become part of the solution. Please have a look at the current situation and Act Now! for Braj-mandal.
We are inspired to take action! Our visions on paper are a first step but it cannot stop there. The bell Braj Vrindavan Act Now! works to defend the sanctuary of Braj Mandal by using every available resource in our efforts to decrease pollution, establish effective management of the city sewage, recycle solid wastes, and encourage pilgrims and visitors to give more action-based attention to the protection of the natural environment. We also work towards the preservation of traditional crafts, organic agriculture and reforestation. Braj Mandal has a unique potential to offer spiritual tourism and the preservation of Vedic knowledge, philosophy, spirituality, and arts to the national and international community. We envision Vrindavan’s thousands of pilgrims, visitors and inhabitants
Trash: create and implement an effective system of collection, provide sufficient and accessible trash bins, and establish a recycling plant.
Water: create a solid residue filtration system and redirect black water to the Kumbha Mela grounds for STP purification.
Traffic: extend the parikrama marg to the Keshi Ghat, propose regulations that limit traffic in Vrindavan and facilitate this by building parking areas outside of the city in addition to other infrastructure.
Restoration: clean, protect and preserve the old ghats, as well as the kundas of Braj Mandal. Reforestation: protect forested areas and reforest previously green areas, especially along the Yamuna River front and the Keshi Ghat.
Tourism: establish a system of tour guides and street signs in order to connect the most visited temples and organize the growing traffic of pilgrims and visitors.
The cleaning of our Holy Rivers is very crucial and must be done as soon as possible. While Ganga and Yamuna are sacred for all followers of Hinduism, thousands of people depend on their waters and their health is directly affected by the health of the rivers. If we want a prosperous Bharat, we must make sure that her people are healthy, and we can only ensure this by making the cleaning of Ganga and Yamuna a priority
Paramadvaiti Maharaj gave a beautiful touching speech, inspiring for service to Braj Vrindavan.
