Garden of One Thousand Buddhas

Here we are in Missoula at one of our favorite parks! Jim & Mary's is famous among RVers. Seems like everyone we know has been here and loved it.

We've wanted to visit this garden for a while, but the circumstances have never been right. This time we took an extra day and finally got there. It was everything we had expected, and more!

The garden sits in a beautiful valley, completely ringed with mountains.

Bill liked this because the figure in the pagoda is the Green Tara. :) I think he called it “Tara, Meet Tara!”

Each of the eight radiating arms in the mandala contain 125 buddhas. The large stupa depicted at the left of this image is on the back of the Green Tara figure under the pagoda.

While the buddhas occupy the radiating arms, the outer circle is populated by hundreds of stupas.

There was more here to see, and we enjoyed every minute of it! What a beautiful place. It was worth the wait!
