I am not a pilot, but I have always been fascinated with aircraft since I was a kid. I just love the aerodynamic shape of a plane, especially the cross section of a wing. When I was in high school, I joined the aviation club and even became the vice president of the club. The activities didn't involve any real flights, but trips to hangars and lots of fun building and flying model planes. I didn't get my first real flying experience until the day I left Hong Kong for Canada to further my education, but I often dream of flying (not figuratively but literally), not in an aircraft but just somehow defying gravity, like a bird. That is the type of dream that I don't want to wake up from.
Here are a few photos that I captured from some of my flying experiences. I am grateful that I get some opportunities to travel because of my work, although recently, I have been pretty much grounded due to my heart condition. I really hope it can be fixed soon so I can resume my occasional travels.

An early morning flight from Gdansk to Frankfurt.

Cruising at 35,000 ft above the Gulf of Mexico in a Boeing 757 en route to Guatemala.

Flying from Munich to Gdansk.

Passing over San Pedro Ayampuc on a flight to Guatemala City.

View of downtown Guatemala City as the plane was approaching the runway for landing.

My sacrifice of sleep for catching an early morning flight was rewarded by this glorious view of sunrise.

A sightseeing flight on a float plane in Alaska. I love flying in small planes.

Circling back to Ketchikan where the sightseeing flight started.

Returning to the dock at the end of the short flight.

My first (and only) flight lesson. It was a Father's Day gift from my daughter. (Yes, my profile picture came from this photo.)
I love #6! This was a fun perspective.
Yeah, watching sunrise or sunset on a plane is an amazing experience. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, Shauna.
