Hong Kong (2)

Here is my second post of Hong Kong photos. These ones were taken a little more recently, just three and a half years ago. That was the last time I went back to visit, and the main purpose was to attend a high school reunion. I was there for just over a week, but within those few days, Hong Kong was hit by two typhoons with high winds and heavy rain. Not one, but two. Pretty unusual. The only time I could take some photos was in between the typhoons where I got a bit of a break in the weather.

The first photo was actually taken by a friend of mine, but I did the post-processing. I really like this photo. The rest were taken by me, all with my Moto G phone except for the third one (the full screen one).

Super great set of HK shots.  I love it there.  My son is currently getting his PhD at HKUST.. Sadly the protests and pandemic are not what he signed up for, but he is living out in Sai Kung and loves it.  I hope to go back, just sorry that it is not going to be the place I went to 5 years ago.

Yeah, it's sad to see the recent developments in Hong Kong. Sai Kung is a nice place to be. I didn't get a chance to see Sai Kung last time I visited Hong Kong, but that was one of my old stomping grounds growing up in Hong Kong with lots of fond memories there.

Some of those photos could have easily been taken in Chicago, especially #6, except for the signs. When my daughter was there a couple of years ago, she could not talk enough about the area, totally fell in love and I know if the opportunity arose again she would go visit in a heart beat. Thank you sharing, always nice to see new places and now dream of visit them smile

My daughter is the same. She was born and raised in Canada, but after she visited Hong Kong on a work trip, she now even wants to move there to work for a while. I hope you get to visit HK some day. You'll love it too. Just don't go in typhoon season. smile

My pleasure, Benny!
As a young man, I used to love to visit huge busy cities....
Now, at 75-yrs, the slower pace of rural areas is what I prefer.....
However, I can still enjoy the energy, vicariously, via fine images like those you post!!!
