Escaping the heat

We crossed Thailand North to South by train!

It was cheap and the sights were worth it. The problem is that the trains are always late, so if you ever need to take one, bear this in mind.

Then it was just a short ferry trip to the island of Koh Tao, where we intended to do a bit of scuba diving, and generally enjoy the beach.

We were surprised to meet there our friend D, whom we had first met in Byron Bay, Australia, 4 months earlier. Such a small world!

After Koh Tao, we went to Koh Phangan, home of the famous Full Moon Party. The party itself was average, but the island is well worth staying longer than we could. Here's a bit of full moon too!

2 weeks is not enough for Thailand. Hopefully we'll come again with more time to spare (and on a plane).
