2017 Photo Diary | 01.01.2017 | Rydal

With a new year comes new horizons, new resolutions and, in our case, a new house too*.

The name ‘Rydal’ is slowly but surely growing on us, although I'm not quite so sure we can say the same for the intricately carved wooden sign.

A little bit of the very laziest of research (thanks, Google) tells me that Rydal is a small Cumbrian village with a rather picturesque lake, apparently where William Wordsworth would often have picnics.

Why do I get the feeling that we’re now destined to visit there before the year is out.

*Oh and yes, a new year also comes with an attempt at a creating a photo diary to do justice to 2017, although I’m not going to give myself too much of a hard time if I end up missing / skipping / doubling up or retrofitting a day or two.
