Today was the first day Travis and I decided to go into the city without meeting up with our Graz native friend, Linda. I have to say we did pretty well figuring out where to go and how to get to a safe place when we got lost. We went to the Graz Museum of Natural History. Of course this was something Travis absolutely loved, and I thought it was tolerable for the first one or so. After the almost 5 hours total we were in there, it got kind of old for a not-extremely interested in science Brittany. After we left the museum we wandered around the city. There's also a picture of a bakery. Linda told us that this is the oldest bakery in Graz, as you can see in the picture it was built in 1569. It took us a while to find, but eventually we found the traditional Austrian restaurant Linda told us to try out. It was delicious! Linda told us that Graz is known for their schnitzel and apple strudel-I tried both. They are pictured above. The schnitzel was fried pork stuffed with green and red peppers, ham, onions, and mushrooms. The apple strudel was like your typical homemade apple pie but was surrounded in custard.
