This weekend was mine and Travis's second ski trip since we've been living in Graz. We went with the international students organization's (ESN) annual trip. All of the ESN chapters throughout the country meet and ski at Kaprun for the weekend. We left on Friday mid-morning and rode a bus for 4 hours and ended up in a small city/township/village of Kaprun. The entire city is focused on skiing and tourism. When we arrived we got our skis from the rental place and checked into the hotel. We shared a room with two other exchange students from Graz. The girl, Inca, is from Finland and the guy, Adam, is from Germany (maybe: I can't really remember.) That night we just walked to the closest grocery store and got a few snack items for the weekend, had dinner, and picked up our ski passes. We were actually asleep by 9:00 pm that night for a good night's rest for skiing the next morning. The roommates we had are from a very different culture than us, especially the girl from Finland. Apparently the Finnish don't really care about nudity in public and are the most modest people- so we've heard from other European international friends. I'll just say that we learned this from experience on this trip. Nothing too shocking, but we definitely learned that the Finnish aren't modest.
