Last year, my husband and I enjoyed a last-minute weekend trip to Washington D.C. and it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. I'm not sure if it was the history and culture, the lavish food and drinks or the artsy bed-and-breakfast we stayed at... but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As an avid journalist, I obviously had to adventure past the Washington Post just for the sake of it. Right across from the Post, we found the best little restauraunt called Rural Society Steakhouse. The atmosphere was beautifully quirky and they offered a fabulous brunch with bottomless, bubbly mimosas. We will definitely be back.
