After the park I went to the Museo del Prado then walked through the city to Plaza Mayor, the Basilica de San Francisco and Almudena Cathedral.

I had half a day in Madrid before my flight home to Denmark and I used it well. I started off my morning with a stroll through Buen Retiro Park.
