A very scenic drive through Whinnet's Pass to reach this town.

Clean, neat and tidy was my first impression.

Pretty setting, lovely homes and wonderful Dry Stone walling….

I loved the garden rising into the distance…………………

Entrance to one of the local Caves

There's the brace ‘Cavers’ rather them than me!!!!

Looking upwards made one feel quite giddy

So many streams and cascades made this a super visiting stop, we returned to visit again, as they had some lovely foodie places :-)

Beautiful place... I love the entrance shot to the caves, but I'm afraid I wouldn't want to go in either!

We know Castleton well, and have spent many a fine weekend there in the B & Bs... you are right, the food is excellent, did you try the Cheshire Cheese Pub? Did you go up Mam Tor? James used to take scouts on caving weekends to Castleton, rather him then me, it's not my idea of fun either!
