When we bought our first house, about 25 years ago, we started to have milk delivered by the Co-Op milkman. He was quite a character and would always stop for a chat about football or the weather on a Saturday morning when collecting the money. When we moved it wasn't too far away so he was still our milkman. About 3 years ago he retired and another man took over who was equally friendly but not quite as charasmatic. A few months ago the dairy was taken over by another firm and the round was combined with another; we had a different milkman, deliveries became only alternate days and we finally decided this week after all this time to stop having our milk delivered.

Now we have to remember to get it from the supermarket to make sure we dont run out - thats progress!

Oh, we haven't had milk delivered since I was a kid! This was nostalgic looking to me ;-)
