This is my father-in-law who was very proud of his time spent serving his country during the war. He always took part in the Remembrance Day services and was a member of the Royal British Legion spending many hours selling poppies outside his local supermarket.
Sadly he died last week so it seems very fitting to remember him today.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning;
We will remember them.
