Mass Observation Project - Animals

Not all pets and animals are well-looked after by their owners. Neglect and abuse can happen for many reasons (mental health issues, financial difficulties or just plain laziness). But for every uncaring owner there are others willing to give these animals a new and loving home.

The local RSPCA centre is only about a mile down the road from us. As well as the expected cats and dogs, there were also rabbits, guinea pigs, exotic birds and even ferrets!

It never fails to amaze me how some people think as humans we have the right to treat animals in a lesser way than we would treat another person. This not only applies to pets but also farming (battery chickens) and zoos (wild animals kept in small cages).

We should learn to respect all living creatures.

Will you give me a new home please?
