the "minor" house 4 - details...

10.10.07 - 00:52
Siza is an architect I admire a lot, I thank his simple but profound lines and volumes in a world of complexity.
(…) I would really like to spend some days there the next time I go to Portugal.
Anyway, it´s great you let people know that good architecture is out there…somewhere

(…) the house was one of the first works by Siza when he was not yet famous… so it was a good bet, right? :)
it is working now as TURISMO DE HABITAÇÃO so you will be most welcome there

      thanks so much, S.T. :)

in minor house 2 and 3 I also start the posts with photos I've taken and then leave the rest to the pro friends or the books.

the prologue to the series that I posted in September 24 ("summer leaves us...") was also my work... but mainly I 'm still waiting for the scanning of my old slides because i have so many photos of this house in different situations from family meetings to FASHION SHOOTS :)

Of course I love your flower shots....especially the fuschia in #2.... You have captured such beautiful lighting in these flower shots. And I never tire of visiting your amazingly lovely restorations. Thanks for sharing them with us!

      Aimeric :)

      Am I lucky or not?!
Like I told you, i don't know much about fowers names... and, in the whole post above, # 5 is probably the only one I could help you with... because they are not flowers:
      - it's a chestnut-tree loaded with chestnuts... because it's now the season for their crop! :)
