Beach hike, something I like to do often, more so during cold and/or not so pleasant weather as the lake is more interesting then. This day was sunny but quite cold. The lake was not so interesting but the things the lake has given up this winter are quite interesting and varied. (that will be another post, though)
I photographed this table a few months ago covered in ice. I've watched it slowly become swallowed by sand. I thought It kind of looked like a lot of us feel right now-overwhelmed and sinking.
But the sun is shining. The ice is gone and spring is coming. Park maintenance will come with their bulldozers and lift it out and move the sand back where it belongs. (or where it's out of the way of picnicing people.)
