Memories (or shutdown busy work)

Since I can't do any of the things that normally keep me busy......

I have 3 boxes like this full. My dad is a photography buff and liked to take pictures when I was a child. These only span about 5 years. My project over Christmas was to scan them all and save to USB so we can all look at them since the only one with the projector is Dad and the rest of us are scattered about....
It's interesting looking back on my childhood through the eyes of my father. Some good stuff in there, including a fantastic trip to Alberta Canada even a close encounter with a bear! (I knew I hadn't imagined that....)

More interesting is at the same time-for the last 6 years actually-I've been working on my grandmother's photo albums. This is the current stack. She had 1 book per year from 1967-68 to 1984-85ish when she got sick and there were no more pictures. This box will take me to 1971, almost done as I've been working backward.
We spent a lot of time with grandma since we lived next door and took a lot of vacations together so it's quite interesting to get Grandma's view of the same events as Dad. My childhood through the eyes of my grandmother.
That's also a box of negatives and a basket of letters, which come next to be scanned.

My father had many of these boxes, sadly many of the slides where in bad condition. Could save a few. Good way to keep busy

Sounds interesting! I'm always keen to see family albums from any & everyone!
I'd love to see some of these, if you feel like sharing...
