Summer: Part 1

Even though it's still technically spring, it's certainly summer by Alaskan standards. It's warm and sunny (70 degrees F), the bugs are out in force (especially the mosquitoes), the days are long (sunrise: 3:29 AM, sunset: 12:06 AM), and the flowers are beginning to bloom. I could barely contain my excitement about getting outside today.

I did take the time to identify the flowers that I shot today. I like doing it and may take some time to learn more about botany.
