Finding the Artist

I don't think I will ever get sick of taking pictures of flowers.

I don't think I will ever get sick of taking pictures of flowers.

I have found myself frustrated and discouraged lately when it comes to my photography. Why are there not more likes, sales or whatever? Then it hit me! I'm frustrated because I am measuring myself against others achievements and choices. I have had this idea in my head of what success is suppose to look and I think that's why I have struggled to focus (no pun intended).

I think the texture and pattern of these leaves are beautiful.

It's relief to know I don't need to be the greatest photographer that ever lived, I can just be Calethia Baker. I can share myself and my work in a way that I can feel confident in.

Calethia...
Shoot for yourself.  The worse thing you could do is try to please anyone here.  I used to make that same mistake.  Now...I shoot  what i like,  i shoot what i  see everyday.  I know "zip" about photography.
Hit me back when u can.

Your words of encouragement are very much appreciated.  I find myself much happier when I shoot what I like.

It would help if you also liked and commented the pictures of other PB colleagues.

I was not taking about Photoblog in particular.  I enjoy sharing my work and being inspired by others here.  You are right though, it is a two way street.
