I absolutely love taking taking photos of people. Human being are so fascinating and Hong Kong's streets are jam-packed with great subjects. The difficulty is having the courage to ask strangers' permission.

The majority of central Hong Kong's motorcycle couriers are bearded, turbaned and very cool Sikh guys.

One of my first attempts at being invisible when right beside people. It is strange how no one looks if you don'y invite them to.

There are almost always shoots going on somewhere in the city. I ghosted the 'real' photographer. The model found this funny.
So, did you ask for this gentleman's permission? I don't really like to ask because the spontaneity is lost ... however I do make sure that they looked nice.
I did, and he was happy to resume the pose I had seen him in. I just can't help feeling that is an invasion of someone's privacy to capture them without their knowledge. This means that that you must miss the moment. It's something that I find really hard to reconcile.
I know ... it is an eternal dilemma for me ... That was why I ask. Thanks for your reply, Calcum.
