Today was a planned day to play with the camera. I decided to follow a tutorial I saw online and take some photos of bubbles. According to the tutorial, the bubble mixture, with the added glycerin, would have a longer life and not pop as quickly. Therefor giving ample time for the bubbles to change colors.
I blew and made tons of huge bubbles but with one major problem. None of the bubbles would leave the straw. As soon as I would try to place them on the small bowl, they would pop. As long as they were hanging on the straw they seemed fine. Needless to say, I never got to see the changing colors, but I did manage to capture some interesting shots.

What fun! Very creative. Love these!
Thanks Jay it was fun
My pleasure!
:=D
Cheers!
I adore this series! So interesting. In my photography group someone did a bubble mixture experiment using glycerine vs. karo. The karo apparently made stronger bubbles....go figure!
I know and then there is another recipe that requires sugar, for the same reason. So who knows. All I know is I couldn't get them to sit on anything but the straw :)
So weird!
I think they came out cool, still have lots of shape and color.
Thanks you Lisa :)
What a fun experiment, Camellia!
I really like #3
It was fun and thanks Joe :)
Funny series and very unusual, BECAUSE of the straw! The reflections wouldn't be the same without the straw. I love it ...
Thanks Sigrid. Didn't recognize your profile pic
#2 Is my favorite from this series although I do like the rest of them.
