Recycled Records

There is a store in our town called Recycled Records. It's owned by two brothers who opened up shop in 1980. Their grandparents started the business of selling furniture in 1911. The business was then passed on to their kids and eventually to the their grandsons (the two brothers). These young lads (at that time) added electronics, albums, and changed the name from Springfield Furniture store to Recycled Records and continued the business.

Walking into this store is like stepping back in time and now that vinyl is popular more and more people hang out in this store. There isn't a vinyl you can't get here and if the brothers don't have it, you can count on them getting it for you.

I spent 2 hours in the store yesterday, walking around, looking at stuff, listening to the great music playing in the background, talking to the brothers and taking photos. Had a blast! So many memories came bouncing back as I handled some of the vinyl and artifacts that lay around. Just a great place to go visit occasionally.

Their motto..... "You'll like us... if you can find us" and that's the truth :)

Great series!!! Monochrome was the best choice for this time travel. Portraits of shop, visitors and owners are just perfect. I love it and some pictures went straight to my favorites.
We would get lost in this shop for hours! *sigh*

Thank you Sigrid. Yes it a wonderful place. The brothers want to sell it because they are getting up there in age, want to travel with their spouses while they are still mobile, and have no kids of their own. But they are willing to wait for the right buyer, someone who will hopefully carry on the tradition.
