So... wasabi sauce is peas sauce??? (I ate Japanese once, no wasabi for me)
So disappointed. I thought it came from misterious seeds... weird Japanese plants/herbs...

Peas...

but they look great!

No , no no, not peas sauce. Wasabi is a plant that they crush and make a paste. This paste is then used in making sauces and condiments. The flavor is close to horseradish sauce and it is spicy just like horseradish.
When making the wasabi peas basically they use the paste to marinate ( for a lack of better word) the peas then they are dried. So the peas are eaten like beer nuts. You drink and you munch smile

something we always sang in primary school..
I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on the knife.

Hahaha! Vivienne truth be known I don't like peas at all. Maybe if I had them with honey when I was younger I would have grown to like them smile

I adore wasabi as a flavor. I think if I had to choose wasabi or horseradish I would go with wasabi every time even though what we tend to get here is a variety of horseradish .
