Long Exposure

by Camellia August. 18, 2019 264 views

Taking long exposure of lights is one of the fun ways to take photographs, and what better place to take these types of photos but at Midway.

Midway is the location of all the rides that can be found at the fair ground. At night these rides are lit up to the max, therefor giving hobbyist like me, a chance to do some light painting as well as practice long exposure photography.

What a cool cool set! I really love this extreme photos, where you see nothing else than wild blinking and colored lines! #28 is so extreme good!

Thank you Heike. #28 is a combination of long exposure and zooming in and out as well as moving side to side. It was done more as an after thought since I was not getting the shots I really wanted.

Your work is exemplary and professional Camellia- motion capture beginning with #8 onward made me feel as if I were on the rides! Beautiful creative art!

I'm never riding that Yo-Yo.  By the light streaks, it is dangerous.

Nice set. I like those at the beginning with light still in the sky (#2-4) and those at the end that are super-abstract (#26-28).

Truth be known 26 onward were created through frustration. One of the guys I was shooting with ended up have a heart shape light streak while shooting this ride. I got jealous and told him I could create them as well. These are my creations. Can you see the heart shapes? 😂😂🙄
