Not only is Australia very vast, it is also very, very, far. Flying into this country from the U.S. is definitely a task . If one chose to fly straight to Australia from the U.S., with a very short lay over in one of several cities across the country, the flight would take 19 hours. One, being me, is not too fond of sitting in a confined area for 19 solid hours. Therefor, the trip to and from Australia, was split into segments. First leg of the flight, took us to California, Los Angeles to be exact.
The last time I was in L.A., I was in my mid 30's. Needless to say a lot has changed since then. And then again some things have not changed. The smog has increased, as has the traffic. There are many more tall building and many more rooftop gardens and pools. Number of homeless people is up and the streets are covered with make shift homeless shelters. But the food is just as good as is the weather.
I spent my short time there, walking a lot, taking in the sights and sounds, as well as clicking away.
As you can see I was definitely intrigued by these sinister looking monsters. These creatures don't exist on my side of the country. As might be expected, I had to take their photo.
