If you have ever been to Italy, you know that they are well known for "la pasticceria Italiana". Delicatible, eye appealing pastries of different forms and varieties found everywhere around the county. In Rome, for example Pasticceria Pompi is well known for it's inexpensive but gargantuan "Tiramisu". While in Milan, Pasticceria Martesana, which has been in business since 1966, is famous for its "Dolce Sinfonia' (chocolate mousse with Bavarian cream, hazelnut and caramel).
But fortunately, because talented Italian bakers emigrate, taking their trade with them, Italy is not the only country with such mouth watering pasticcerias. In Melbourne there is an authentic Italian pastecceria by the name of Brunneti.
Brunneti was founded by Giorgio Angele, who began his training at the early age of 10. At the age of 23 years, he came to Australia as a pastry chef for the Italian Olympic team and eventually made Australia his permanent home.
Brunneti pasticcerias have become an iconic place to visit to indulge in delicious Italian style sweet and savory pastries, variety of beverages and gelato.
