Artichokes

They are in season and ready to be photographed (eaten). I played with the light and angles. I am really enjoying having the Nikon 105 f/2.8 lens. It is very sharp and quick to focus. Combined with the Z7, it has made still life photography a breeze.

I love your macro pictures. They show such a beauty in everyday objects.

I hope to try macrophotography one day... soon... grinning

I have never eaten them before. I wonder what they taste like.

So I didn't know how to explain the flavor to you. To me the "meat" is sweet. Anyway I decided to do a quick google check, if you are interested...

Thanks for the link, Camellia. I will definitely try it when the opportunity comes. It somehow reminds me of custard apples which I love. I grew up with those in Hong Kong where they were plentiful, but they are hard to find in Canada.

I had to look up custard apple, never seen or heard of it before. According tot he video I saw, looks really delicious. Occasionally, one of the supermarkets in town sells "exotic" fruits and vegetables. I will have to keep my eye open. Thanks for teaching me something new smile

Ummmm, artichokes, how good they are sauteed with a little Iberian ham, thanks for sharing. Greetings and take care.

That sounds so good. I don't think I have had Iberian ham before but the combination sounds great smile

Tsao, there is nothing else to do. I used to travel..... can't to that.  Go out and look around.....can't do that. So now when I can go grocery shopping I look for things I can play with and eat smile
