Keeping Myself Entertained

I am slowly slowly getting tired of this new found form of life. But I am still trying to entertain myself. Somehow macro seems to be the thing for now.

I saw something similar to the above capture and thought I would replicate. Not totally in awe but found it somewhat intriguing. Both the needle and the string are you standard everyday sewing tools. What was interesting to me was the texture of the string. When taken up close with a macro lens it doesn't look at smooth as when it is on the bobbin.

This guy, if I can surmise fell off the rose of Sharon bush. While it is a pretty bush it is a pain in the derriere because it branches out and propagates to no extent. But I found quite cool to capture in macro.

This thing in #2 looks pretty cool. I wonder if you can get even closer.

Benny I shot that with the macro 105 lens which I attached to three different sized extension tubes (12,20,36 mm) which increased the magnification to what you see. I don't know if I had place a magnifying glass on top of it whether I could get a sharper image or not. But might be something to try...got plenty of time smile
