Toronto skyline at night from Centre Island

Apparently, this was a long weekend and few of my friends had planned for a movie. Since the theater was very close to the harbourfront, I convinced all of them to take the ferry to the Centre Island to look back at our gorgeous skyline.

The ferry ticket counter is located close to Bay Street on Queens Quay. If you are coming from TTC, you would need to get off at Union Station and walk about 5 minutes. We took the second last ferry and it was almost empty. However, the waterfront was packed with Pokemon-go players. They were waiting for some kind of Pikachu to be released I think. Or may be certain water type Pokemon animals are available only there. Literally, there were like 1000+ people staring at their phones.

I am glad we went because the view was amazing. Sometimes you forget the beauty of your city and always dream about traveling somewhere foreign. I think photography can be a good tool to remind us to appreciate the local attractions. Anyway, I am really glad I went because I have not had a day off in several months now. It's been just work interrupted only by eating, sleeping and occasional running.

I also managed to capture the CN tower on our way back. Was Hoping to submit this to B&W theme this week but I like the one I submitted already. I hope you enjoyed the views. If you did, please hit the like button below.

Such a beautiful city! Toronto is next on my travel list for sure. As for the Pokemon players, I know it all too well! Exact same situation along the river here in Brisbane at all times of day. Truly unbelievable until you see it for yourself.

J'aime particulièrement la 1ére, les reflets sont sublimes, avec des couleurs extraordinaires.

Making the skyline mauve & pink, how pretty. But did you get shots of all those Pokemon fanatics?

Nice to see something I rarely get to see - your images are beautiful.... would've been cool to see 1000+ Pokemon followers too!
Thank you for taking some time off. You really should do it more often.
