4 photos from beautiful Lucca, Italy

Lucca is a city on the Serchio river in Italy’s Tuscany region. It’s known for the well-preserved Renaissance walls encircling its historic city center and its cobblestone streets.

Clothesline by windows is a common sight in Italy. I added a bit of vignetting here to amplify the edit

In the middle of the Lucca historical city, there is this sculture. I think by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj.

Again, beautiful doors! I wished I took enough of these to one day publish a book just about Italian Doors! That would be awesome.

I was taking so many shots at this location to get my exposure right. Was testing metering modes when I should've just used exposure compensation. Anyway, after few minutes, this guy walked into the shot. I think it adds a lot to the image. This was the siesta break time.

Thank you, Antonio. I was shooting most of these in midday but the building colors really accentuate the golden light.

Ram, that warm yellow-orange hue in No. 4 is awesome! How nice he walked into your photo for some white (shirt!) balance :) Looking forward to more of Italia!

Loving all your photos of Italy, reminds me of my trip there last summer. There are so many similarities and yet so many differences between one location in Italy to another. Keep the photos coming :)
