Hiking in the Canadian Rockies - Part 1

by Ram Ya July. 22, 2019 352 views

Hello Photo Bloggers!

It may seem like I am back after a while. However, I am always working behind those /learn articles.

First of all, I would like to give a big thank you to all of you for sharing and reading those articles. It is a pleasure to share knowledge and to know that it is appreciated 🙏

I took a week off to do some hiking in Banff/Jasper area recently. It has been a long-overdue break from work.

So I crammed as many hikes as possible (on some days even two in a single day!). It was well worth the effort. The Canadian Rockies never disappoints!

Here are some pics from day 1. We were exploring the Vermillion lakes and lake Louise after landing in Edmonton that morning.

All of these were taken with exposure bracketing. Lake Louise is always a challenge to photograph due to snow-capped mountains at the top.

We were greeted by a porcupine on our way back from Lake Louise.

Just turned around and the view of the other side is stunning too!

I hope you like these photos. Again, I am sorry for being absent here. However, I must focus on keeping PB alive with my efforts and promise to do my best.

More to come from this trip...

Thanks so much, Camellia! It was such a relief to go and take photos. I was so afraid I might have forgotten my way around a camera but it's like driving, it comes back so fast :) Hopefully, I get to shoot more often this summer. Take care.

It means a lot coming from you, Antonio! I am a big fan of your sweeping landscapes :)
Yes, actually going out there and shooting reminds me why I relaunched PB in the first place.

There’s nothing like the Alberta rockies. Great set of photos.

Yup, I never get tired of Alberta and BC! I could literally go every weekend, so much to explore. Wish to one day do winter landscapes.
