Yesterday was one of those day's I just had to get out with the camera. I had errands to run in town so I left the house in great anticipation of capturing some current images for my photo blogging.
Just a quick ten mile drive brings me into downtown Benson, traffic is heavy for this small town.
Recreational vehicles are on the move and tourist traffic is flowing in and out of town at a brisk pace.
My first priority, get a cup of ice coffee from my favorite mom and pop local coffee shop.
As I depart the parking lot with my coffee in hand, I see something that catches my eye.
Union Pacific Railroad had a work crew replacing track and railroad ties on one of the main east west rail lines.
As they were working, a very long line of freight cars passed, so I took advantage of the moment.
The top photo caught my eye as I saw the pink shipping container off in the distance, so I waited for it to pass in front of me.
You will also see the graffiti that is on about ninety nine percent of the box cars.
Some of the graffiti designs are pretty amazing, and could be a future blog in the making.
I was a good hundred yards parked directly across the main road in a dirt parking.
These are some of the images I captured and decided to convert them except the pink container into black and white photos.
