Cooking has never been one of my favorite things, back in high school I did take a cooking class.
What I thought was called a Spatula was actually called a Turner. (who knew?)
It was a fun class, with the ratio of guys and gals being tilted in the gals column made for some good times.
I achieved an A+ with my French dish of Coq Au Vin topped off with a delicious Chocolate Mousse for my final exam.
So if needed, I can turn it up a notch or two in the kitchen, with my secret chili recipe that is requested quite a bit.
With that said, my wife is the one who truly has the talent for cooking up delicious meals that are healthy and unique.
Truly, I cannot hold a spatula when it comes to my wife's ability to cook.
One of her many talents is her ability to can a variety of different foods ..
From Apple Sauce, Jam, Pears, you name it, my wife can can it!
I decided one day to take a few photos during her canning of Bread and Butter Pickles and Prima Sauce.
I have to say that her Bread and Butter Pickles are in big demand from family and neighbors whenever the word gets out she is canning,
The Prima Sauce I have with my favorite Italian meal, Raviolis and Meatballs.
After the jars are removed from the boiling water, a rhythmic popping sound can be heard emanating from the kitchen.
So for the curious minds who want to know what's the difference between a spatula and a turner?
