Landscape is a type of photography that I was interested in prior to even taking classes. It was said that it is a field most liked by people new to photography, but as they explore the other types of photography and then they may grow interest with something else.
Lucky enough I live in California where there are plenty sights and places to visit and capture. There is always something new and never seen before. Would you even believe that the picture above is just from a park? It sure does look like something that has to be in the middle of nowhere and far from the city.
This is actually a place frequented even by professional photographers, and this is one of the places they would take portraits. I personally have done 2 graduation shoots in here. Now that I think about it, I should probably start posting more portraits as well.
This park is covered with many trees around the body of water and even in the middle of it. There were ducks and fish that are living in the park as well. It is nice to walk around the park regardless of the hour of the day, but just like the beach, I find myself enjoying this place around sunset.
Among all of the photographs that I have taken in this park, this would be one of my favorites. The photo may not have much details, but the silhouette makes it very dramatic.
Since this place is frequented by many people for their walks and just to hangout, it is very easy to capture an image with an instant model or what they call "photobomber" nowadays. You cannot get mad about it if they make your images far better.
There are plenty of things to see and capture around us, and we just need to pay attention and really look. Never take anything for granted.—Claire
