Lately, I have been getting more practice when it comes to taking pictures at night. Like I said from a previous post, Night Photography is totally a different game. It is quite nice to get exposed to it.
While out in Los Angeles, I suddenly thought of taking a picture of the city lights, and maybe some skyscrapers, but I could not seem to find a good spot. I usually research the place in advance because there is a tendency that a spot is not as good as promised.
Mulholland Drive popped up on my search a couple of times. There was a specific spot in which we went, you can see the city well enough, but sadly not that close of a view of the buildings nor the freeway. Still though, it was a good enough view.
I took out my new Canon Lens to test, and the picture above is the product of it. I was very surprised at how close it can zoom although given that it is a telephoto lens. It really is something that I am missing in my arsenal. I cannot wait to take it out and shoot the waves at the beach.
It was around 2am when we got into this spot and its quite surprising to see a couple of people just hanging out in this spot. Definitely in search for new spots out there in Los Angeles to shoot at night. Any suggestions?
So until the next post! —Claire!
