If you have seen my previous posts, you'd know that I like taking photos of random people. As I always say, if they are in a public location then its fair game. This photo came out much better than anticipated. This man was enjoying what he was doing. He was by himself. He would reel in his catch and then release it. I am loving the contrast between the sky and sea, and add to that the waves that gives it texture.
As the sun starts to set, there were more and more people coming in. This place seems to be frequented by couples. Well, that works for me for that means more subject for my photos.
Most of them are trying to get into a good spot to watch the sun go down. I am not surprised to see a flock of people, what I am surprised is to see most of them not wearing a mask.
As the sun sets, the lighting is good for a more dramatic photo. I am also using an ND filter, so it makes the lighting even more interesting. It allows more details to come through the picture by darkening by few stops.
I don'y even know that to tell you anymore regarding these photos. They surprise me still every time I would look through them. I was not expecting things to turn out like this. I have said it from my previous post and I will say it again, I need more ND Filters!
Sunset will just not be the same now that I have tried shooting with it. It honestly opened a new horizon for me to explore. These are far from perfect and I have yet to master using them. But from what I see, it has a lot of potential and I would like to work with it more.
I am ending this post with what has to be my favorite shot of sunset so far. If you look close enough, you'd see that there is a boat in the middle of the water. The dog was looking at me while the owner stares into the horizon. It cannot get anymore beautiful than this. Go and enjoy the sunset today.—Claire
