It makes a Difference

I've been growing my hair out ever since i cut it short (above-shoulder length) back in the 9th grade.
Why? Well now, i actually have a personal reason that i won't share now. Hmmm… now that i think about it, i HAD a personal reason, but so many things have changed ever since then and ok so this is my reason:
Oh my goodness i have always wanted super long hair!!
The way it swooshes, the way it flows, the long locks that show determination and ohhhh those Pantene Pro V models sure can influence a mind!!
And i don't ever notice how long my hair REALLY is until I straighten it. Really! it's something that makes a HUGE difference! When my hair is wavy/curly my hair sometimes gets in the way. But when it's straight, you can be sure that my hair is going to be blocking my vision, snagging my head, preventing bag straps to lay nicely on my shoulders, and getting in my cup of soda!!
LOL, this last one only happened once, but it was hilarious! I was drinking some Mountain Lightning (Wal-Mart rip off of Mountain Dew) and i held it on my lap because the table we were eating at was very crowded. I was talking with Edgar and Liz (because it was a special lunch for the UTSA Talent Search participants) and when i brought my cup up for another sip, I had a lock of my hair dipped in the soda. Funny thing was, i had not even noticed until I was VERY close to drinking out of the cup! Like a tentacle dipping it's tips, the hair was nonchalantly in the soda! Edgar and Liz laughed when i pointed it out. It was the weirdest thing!
But straight hair does have it's advantages. It's very manageable, neat-looking, and best of all: I like how it looks!! Oh don't get me wrong, i like my wavy hair sooo much too, but it only looks as dazzling as I like every time it feels like behaving. The rest of the time, I'm just making it through a lame/bad hair day.
You know, I had considered trying that Permanent Straightened Hair, but besides it being a little expensive, I didn't want to think of how much of a hassle it would be when it grew out! :[
